Shane Asbell has over 20 years’ experience in office sales and leasing in the Greater Edmonton market. Shane joined the firm in 1998, after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce Degrees. He became a Partner of the firm in 2005.
Shane is the office division leader and works closely with six other sales associates including his team comprised of Scott Vreeland, Nicholas Hrebien and Jacob Dykstra. Shane specializes in site selection, office leasing and sales and represents several medium and large sized companies, such as Investors Group, Sun Life Financial, Rogers, Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited, Firma Foreign Exchange, Primed Medical Inc. Canadian Cancer Care, and Magna IV Engineering. He has completed over 850 transactions in his career including 125 sales, with most of these properties being purchased by owner/user investors that Shane represented. Shane also represents several local and few national Landlords in marketing and securing tenants for their office properties including Cameron Developments, Carrington Developments, The Chamber of Commerce, and ICBC.
Currently, Shane is working on the disposition of 48,000 sf. Vibe, business condo development, 29,000 sf. at Emerald Hills Professional Building in Sherwood Park, 9,200 sf. at the World Trade Centre, and the new 30,000 sf. DDC Professional Centre. Shane is representing several tenants of various sizes in many different assignments – renewal negotiations, relocations, subleasing space, and acquiring owner/user buildings and on occasion to source and buy a parcel of land so that his client can develop their own custom design building.
